Trojan Hybrid Motors
by Contrail Rockets...
The Trojan Motor Line by Contrail Rockets is a completely new line for
Contrail Rockets. In the past, all of the Contrail designs have been
developed to use Contrail Hardware and supporting reloads. These motors
were of course designated the Contrail Line of Hybrid Motors. With the
recent release of Contrail motors using HyperTEK®
tanks a new line of Hybrids were born... These motors were given the
name Trojan Hybrid Motors.
The Trojan Motor Systems are certified to use "piped" type
tanks. These tanks include the HyperTEK®
Style Tanks (Hammerhead Style as well as the Newer 54mm, 75mm and 98mm Tanks).
The strikingly new design which has been developed and tested by Contrail
Rockets allows for the existing and abundant HyperTEK®
Tanks to be used with a more user friendly and cost effective motor system.
The Proven performance of Contrail Rockets is now available to all current and
past flyers of HyperTEK® Motors.
The Proven benefits of Trojan/Contrail Motors includes:
User friendly ignition system
Pyrodex Pellet Ignition system which was first used by Contrail Rockets
for Certified Hybrid Motors in
2005. No clumsy High Voltage Ignition System, and No GOX required in
any of the Trojan Motors.
Higher Average Impulse Motors
While HyperTEK® motors
give reliable and lower average impulse reloads, The Trojan Motor Line
allows flyers a flexibility and versatility which had until now, not been
possible with the HyperTEK®
Systems. Average Impulse ranges in the Trojan Motor Line
are possible between approximately 125 Ns Average all the way up to 1000+ Ns
Average.
More Cost Effective
Compare the costs of HyperTEK®
Brand Grains to the new Trojan Reloads, and you will see that
for a 54mm HyperTEK® Grain
will cost you $33.00 for a Standard Grain or $44.00 for the EFX Grain.
The Trojan Grains are priced at $30.00 for any of the fuels.
The 75mm and 98mm Grains are also priced significantly below the HyperTEK®
Reload Prices as well.
Less "Fiddle Time" at the Pad
The Elimination of the HyperTEK®
Fill Stems as well as GOX/High Voltage type ignition allows for the igniter
to be loaded into the motor prior to ever walking out to the pad. With
no Fill Stems needed you will never again have to worry about the rocket not
being seated properly. Setup at the pad can be done as quickly as you
can hook up an igniter and put a fill line into a Press-Lock Injector.
Have You Ever Wanted to Cluster Hybrids with out the hassle of setting
up a mess of Fill Stems?
With The Elimination of the HyperTEK®
GSE and Fill Stems flyers can now begin to cluster Trojan Motors with out
the hassle of building a custom Launch Pad just to fly 1 rocket. The
increased reliability and ease of use of Trojan Hybrids makes
Clustering a snap.
Have you ever built a rocket which was just a little to heavy to fly
on a HyperTEK®
Motor?
HyperTEK®
Motors have never been known as motors for heavy rockets. The Low Average
Impulse Motors are not designed to lift Heavy rockets. This often
results in underpowered flights. The New Trojan Line
allows for Heavy Rockets to be flown on Hybrid Motors. The Heaviest High
Power Rocket ever flown was flown using Contrail Brand Motors.
